Art South

ArtSouth is a not-for-profit Artist's
community located at 240 N Krome Ave.
in Homestead, FL. The 3 1/2 acre campus
includes a two story Fine Arts building and
a three story Fine Crafts and Sculpture
building. The historic Sanctuary hosts
concerts, theatrical performances and dance
performances. The organization hosts an open
house including 35 artists' studios,
non-profit cultural organization offices,
refreshments, and entertainment the 2nd
Saturday of every month.

The Goal of our society is to educate
ourselves and the general public in the
classification, evolution and propagation,
culture, care, and development of the
cultural and economic importance of orchids;
and to support the conservation of this
fascinating group of plants. Membership is
open to anyone who is interested in the
object, aims, and purposes of the EEOS, Inc.

The Homestead
Art Club (HAC) has been in existence since
1940. It has included the novice to the
professional for over 60 years. They accept
all artists with open arms. The club runs
Gallery 100, the cooperative gallery located
in Prime Outlets Mall in Florida City. If
you are an artist this is a great group to
get involved with. The club offers many
benefits, including access to display at
Gallery 100. If you are a collector, this is
a great place to find wares by local artists
in a wide variety of mediums, and to enjoy
browsing art among the fine shops in Prime
Outlets.

Concert series is to provide superior
musical entertainment for a broad based
audience. This is achieved by charging
reasonable membership fees in conjunction
with the generosity of our special
contributors. We invite you to support this
worthwhile community effort!
Homestead Main Street

The purpose of Homestead Main Street is to
enhance, communicate, and promote our
community identity and heritage, to foster a
center of commercial and social activity,
and to ensure economic stability and future
growth for the downtown Main Street District
through the concentrated application of the
four (4) Main Street principles of design,
organization, promotions, and economic
revitalization.
Haitian-American Org
for Women – Cuckita Bellande
Haitian-American Organization for Women, Inc. (HOW) is a non-profit organization that promotes and advocates for underprivileged women and their families, particularly at-risk youth. HOW actively develops opportunities to encourage them to participate in the economic mainstream of society. HOW offers family focused programs integrating education, arts, social services, and entrepreneurship.

Mexican American Council – Audelia Martinez
Founded in 1990, the Mexican American
Council is a cultural and educational
organization composed of Hispanics, former
farmworkers, and interested community
leaders. It strives to promote Mexican
American cultural awareness to residents of
Dade County and ensure that every migrant
child entering kindergarten completes high
school. Its programs include education and
community development. The Mexican American
Council also provides emergency services to
residents of South Dade County, Florida.

Paragon Ladies of the Dove
– Mary Smith
Paragon Ladies of the Dove, Inc. is the
non-profit arm of Mu Gamma Zeta Chapter.
Founder and President, Frankie Ingram and
Co-Founder, Margaret Singleton Staples
established it in 2002.
The organization has three major purposes:
to provide Educational Services that include
After School Tutorial services, Cultural and
Fine Arts Activities and Career Planning
Community Volunteerism (feeding the hungry),
and
provide Mentoring Activities for at-risk
youth, specifically Conflict Resolution and
Life Skills Workshops.
Redland
Tropical Gardens - Margi Buster
Founded 1995 with an educational mission in
Botany, Horticulture and Environment. With
two Pilot Projects; One the Red land Pioneer
Tours (Eco Tours, Agro Tours and
Historic Tours of Redland and surrounding
areas of significance) and second Pilot
Project for Educational Certification to
Train the Teachers - Agro Ecology.
Seminole Theatre
- Bronwen Rutter
The mission of the Seminole Theatre Group, a
501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is to
rehabilitate the historic Seminole Theatre
and the adjacent building to create the
Seminole Theatre Cultural Arts Complex, and
to operate those facilities as a cultural
and educational center in the heart of
Homestead’s Historic Downtown District.
South Dade Community Choir - Sandy Keffer & Glenda Henson
The South Dade Community Choir is a group of people who love the Lord, love to sing and love to be together. We seek to provide residents of the Miami-Dade County area with an opportunity to participate in musical activities that glorify God, within a friendly and supportive environment that is racially, ethnically and culturally diverse. Our goal is to present the message of Christ through music and the Word of God. Our purpose is so that the community can see that Christians can and do have a great time serving our Lord and Savio.
South Dade Expressions Dance Company –
Denise Berry & Amy Snyder
Expressions Dance Company is a
not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization
comprised of South Dade’s most talented
young dancers. Now entering its
twenty-eighth year, this company -- under
the artistic direction of Alicia Norwood and
Victoria Gonzalez -- has established a
reputation for excellence.
Expressions Dance Company provides the
opportunity for promising dancers, ages ten
to eighteen, to perform in a professional
atmosphere and to work with guest performers
and choreographers. These dancers are chosen
in an open audition held each September.
“Expressions” presents two performances a
year through the financial support of
individuals and businesses in our community.
One performance is held during December's
holiday season and the other concert is held
each Spring.
